Movie Marathon: The International

This was a rather depressing movie in terms of subject matter. Why watch this during Easter Sunday, the day of resurrection? The only reason would be, precisely because it’s Easter Sunday and there’s lots of hope circulating in this Christian environment.
Because Tom Tykwer’s The International, a movie about an Interpol agent who tries to thwart an international bank’s arms dealing scheme to suck money out of developing countries, is too close to what’s happening in countries like the Philippines, I could only hope that Louis Salinger (Clive Owen) would succeed in bringing down the bank executives.
